These revolutionary watches represent a study in metalworking. The case and bezel are made of super-hard titanium alloy based on Ti64, while the strap is made of another special titanium alloy, DAT55G, which is three times harder than pure titanium and highly workable. The upper part of the frame is made of COBARION, a cobalt-chromium alloy four times harder than pure titanium. The frame alone is made up of 25 different components, each individually polished for a stunning, detailed texture. The cutting-edge multi-protection structure incorporates flat springs and silicone pads on the multi-component frame, ensuring exceptional shock absorption to protect the dedicated MR-G module with gold-plated locking plate. Inspired by blue ink painting and calligraphy, the MRG-5000BA features blue ion-plated strap screws and components on a diamond-like black carbon-coated background. Pops of vapor deposition-embossed blue add a bold touch to the watch face, while the iconic brick pattern is a nod to the original design of the G-SHOCK DW-5000 model. These metal beauties are also packed with features, like radio-controlled calibration and smartphone pairing via Bluetooth®.
