On the occasion of the 40th Anniversary, the G-SHOCK Full Carbon series is born. Remaining faithful to the constant research into new materials, we have created two watches using three types of carbon: forged carbon for the bezel and strap, multi-layer carbon for the bracelet clasp to guarantee maximum resistance, and resin reinforced with carbon fiber for the monocoque case. By paying the utmost attention to the characteristics of each component, we have created two extremely light and even more resistant models.
Thanks to the “Full Carbon” structure, the weight of the watch is significantly reduced, maintaining the extreme resistance typical of every G-SHOCK.
Recovering the iconic shape of the very first G-SHOCK, the watch features a design inspired by the carbon texture in two different color variants: full black and the model with a two-tone print in shades of purple and blue sprinkled with opalescent grains*, a symbolizing the nebulous light of the Milky Way.
In addition to the innovative and resistant style, these models also offer complete functionality: radio control and solar charging for greater reliability and precision. Furthermore, by downloading the dedicated app, they can be connected to the smartphone via Bluetooth®. This watch achieves superior performance with fully automatic, high-brightness LED backlighting, six-language day display, and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal.
The caseback is engraved with the logo designed by Eric Haze to commemorate the 40th anniversary, adding the finishing touch to this limited edition series.
Due to the characteristics of forged carbon, obtained from a mixture of carbon fiber and resin, the pattern, the color shades and the distribution of the opalescent spots on the bezel, the strap and the clasp vary from model to model.
*The opalescent grains are not present on the bracelet clasp.
