Questo orologio è inoltre dotato di una tecnologia avanzata, la Multi-Band 6, che riceve le onde radio standard da 6 stazioni in tutto il mondo. La cassa in metallo e il fondello a vite sono realizzati in DLC (diamond-like) per migliorare la resistenza all’usura, mentre il fondello a vite è lavorato a specchio per creare una finitura di lusso. Inoltre, il cinturino in resina utilizza un uretano morbido e comodo da indossare. Evoluto dal design originale di G-SHOCK, nato nel 1983, il GW5000U-1 è un modello raffinato che vanta tecnologia e finiture di alta qualità.
