Introducing the first model of the 2100 line of the iconic G-SHOCK models of the MR-G family.
Thanks to a study in metalworking, the MRG-B2100 features a case and bezel made of super-strong titanium alloy Ti64. The upper part of the bezel is made of COBARION*, an alloy four times stronger than pure titanium and as brilliant as platinum. The strap is made of another special titanium alloy called DAT55G**, which is extremely hard and workable.
The bezel alone is made up of 27 different components, each individually polished for a stunning, detailed texture. The Multi-Guard structure incorporates the different bezel pieces with the case, to ensure exceptional shock absorption for the bezel and to protect the dedicated MR-G module with gold-plated locking plate.
We make the most of these extra-hard alloys, with their scratch resistance and mirror finish, with widespread use of mirror-polished finishes and a diamond carbon coating to add a touch of brilliant black shine.
The watch face is inspired by the traditional Japanese art of interlocking woodworking called kigumi which, like the bezel of the MRG-B2100, involves the use of myriad small components. This traditional craftsmanship is reflected in the complex two-part structure of the indicators and the depth and dimension of the dial’s lattice pattern. The small openings on the dial, a craftsmanship that requires maximum precision in manufacturing technology, let through a sufficient amount of light to generate the necessary solar energy and always keep you up to date.
This masterpiece is not just a stunning celebration of metals. It also offers exceptional functionality, thanks to radio-controlled calibration and pairing with your smartphone via Bluetooth®.
